My Review:

It is so ironic that most of the k-drama that I thought I wouldn’t enjoy because it maybe too heavy or too boring or too dramatic for my taste turns out to be totally the opposite. Just like Misaeng or Money Flower, Woman of Dignity is one of the rare k-dramas that not only brings entertainment but provide learnings in life. It is even rare that a k-drama can maintain its level of quality or uphold the interest of the audience like me in 20 episodes from start to finish without much focus on romance but rather than life in itself. Woman of Dignity is truly a gem and a pleasure to watch. It has achieved what I can say a perfection in its story, direction and characters. Truly worthy of the 20 hours one will need to watch it and I hope I will be able to bring dignity to my review to it as it richly deserves.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) It is one of those rare moments that I appreciate the technical aspects of a k-drama or for any drama for that matter because by making it all gel together, it was able to deliver a quality entertainment that’s a joy to watch. It has a well-written script, directed properly to deliver the story and superb actors who breath life to the characters from beginning till its ending.

(2) The main characters including the supporting ones have done a fantastic job. Of course, for Kim Hee Sun as Woo Ah Jin and Kim Sun Ah as Park Bok Ja, one can expect that they both will deliver their talents to its finest but for the other characters especially some of the supporting ones are surprisingly that good. All of them are great and without exception, however, I can’t help but have some favorites because they affected me the most at different levels like Lee Chae Mi as Ahn-Ji Hoo, Jung Sang Hoon as Ahn Jae Suk, Oh Na-Ra as Ahn Jae-Hee and Kim Yong Geon as Ahn Tae Dong.

(3) I love that the theme of the story is something you’ve seen before in other k-dramas but it was uniquely delivered in such a perfect manner with an exciting twist of mystery and with non-existent useless side stories and scenes to act as fillers. Each story and sub-stories are significant and interesting to watch because the characters are all flawed and not two-dimensional. They are a depiction one way or another of all of us as being human.

(4) Everything meshed and blended well that resulted to one high quality k-drama. I highly appreciated that the depiction of each and every characters maintained what’s true to who they are and their true essence.

(5) I rarely get surprised in murder mysteries but this one did. It was so unexpected that it made my 20-hour marathon well worth every second I spent watching this k-drama.

(6) I like the teachings that this k-drama brings especially the insights it allows the audience to reflect such as “We worry about being unhappy while we are happy and we hope being happy while being unhappy. More than anything we live our lives desiring for something we do not have. There’s more sadness than joy. A life filled with pains that are even greater than sadness. But, I should’ve been thankful for life itself.” And, “Everyone dreams of being happy. Everyone desires for something they do not have. They think that’s how they’d be happy. But, happiness brings light to your life when you actually empty out those desires. Right now, I’m happy”

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
Honestly, nothing. It is one of the k-dramas I watched that was perfectly done as a whole.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? 110% Yes. Highly Recommended. Don’t Miss to Watch it.
