My Review:

There are k-dramas that once one watches the first few episodes or even 1 episode that one can already tell that it is something one can enjoy and be into the story. This is one of the k-dramas for me. Lately, there’s not much k-dramas that truly tickles my fancy and makes me look forward to the next episode. Luckily, this is one of them that made viewing it for hours a pleasure. Having said that, leave some of your logic out of the door and don’t expect answers to most of your questions, just enjoy the individual stories as is.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Both the leading actors, Lee Je Hoon as Lee Soo Yun and Chae Soo Bin as Han Yeo Reum brought their A-Game on this k-drama. They have chemistry together and their soft and touching scenes made it truly a pleasure to watch.

(2) The different stories happening in the airport made this k-drama not boring to watch. The stories added flavor to the story of the main leads.

(3) This is one of the k-dramas wherein the 3rd wheel on a love triangle, Ro Woon as Go Eun Sup, wasn’t irritating to watch. In fact, I feel for the character as he is not only a good man but a true friend to Han Yeo Reum even if he has no chance with her. Moreover, I also enjoyed the 2nd lead love story between Kim Kyung Nam as Oh Dae Gi and Lee Soo Kyung as Na Young Joo. Although, there are some elements that wasn’t explained why Na Young Joo is the way she is, their love angle made their scenes more interesting and their story doesn’t diminishes my viewing pleasure as it didn’t become a nuisance like most of second lead love stories are. It is the first time I watched Kim Kyung Namin in a supporting role that’s not a villain of the story and I kinda appreciate how he looks and appear on this k-drama. He is not the typical handsome actor I go for but on this k-drama, he’s quite attractive because of the personality of his character that he successfully emanated on the screen.

(4) The supporting actors are also great on this k-drama. There’s a certain cohesiveness on their characters that doesn’t go too far away from the main story. In fact, like the message of the story, they are all characters who passes by on this k-drama that just has to do their role to make it a success.

(5) The story also touched something that’s personal to me. It is about what people with disability go through. As I am a disable person, I understand the struggles of Lee Soo Yun and of deciding if it was fair for him to drag Han Yeo Reum to the difficulties he will be facing without the special contraption attached to his body. People need to understand that what’s normal to them and most of the time taken for granted as an everyday thing is something precious and to be grateful about by us, who do go through with physical challenges. It is not pity or sympathy we want but understanding and empathy.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

(1) There are some elements on this k-drama that wasn’t explained or expounded of why or how it became the way it was. For example, how the contraption of Lee Soo Yun became a reality and why it didn’t accidentally introduced to the general public as a medical and scientific breakthrough? Why he is the only one that Mr. Jang did this and how? Where is the father of Han Yeo Reum? Is he dead? Why Yang Seo Goon is so protective of Lee Soo Yun? There’s a lot of why’s on certain characters because it seems there’s not much background given on the story.

(2) I feel that Lee Dong Gun as Seo In Woo wasn’t properly utilised on the story. And, again, what is he really into with this gang? I understand some of it but I feel that majority of his backstory got lost in translation.

(3) There’s something wrong with the ending. It was happy but how come I didn’t get to see the face of Lee Je Hoon as Lee Soo Yun? It looks like a body double. It kinda affected the totality of the ending.

(4) There are a lot of unresolved issues on the story and the ending seems to be rush which is too bad and a let down for what was actually a good k-drama as a whole.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes, as long as you don’t ask a lot of questions which will remain frustratingly unanswered in the end.
