My Review:

This is a continuation of Voice that previously starred by Jang Hyuk and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this as much as the first season except probably the ending. So, OCN, make sure you really produce its Season 3. Generally speaking 2nd season of most k-drama series usually fails to reach the level of quality of its predecessor especially if it was a very successful first season. Glad to say, this is not the case here. Voice Season 2 is as much the same in the level of suspense and thrill it brings. Although, Jang Hyuk is an A-level Korean actor who can’t seem to do no wrong in anything he does, Lee Jin Wook did his character justice and went head to head to be as effective as Jang Hyuk on Season 1. It is indeed a pleasure for OCN to be able to produce Season 2 with much the same grit of entertainment on this genre even with the change of one of the main characters.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) The level of good chemistry between Lee Ha Na as Kang Kwon Joo and Lee Jin Wook as Do Kang Woo as partners in Golden Time with a very minimal hint of romantic interest provides the continuity of watching Voice Season 2 as pleasurable as Season 1. They made it work and made the audience accept the change of one of the main vital characters as strong as Jang Hyuk as Moo Jin-Hyuk in Season 1.

(2) The gripping story and its twists allowed the audience to enjoy it as much as Season 1 except probably the hanging end that lies solely on Season 3 to be produced and shown later.

(3) All the characters that replaced the original ones have stood their ground and made the transition acceptable for the audience and didn’t feel much of the difference like Kim Woo Suk as Jin Seo Yool.

(4) The directorial delivery of its story is also something I highly praise as it is paced to make the mystery of Do Kang Woo background highly suspect and the fearless way of making the characters go through such horrific experiences themselves. The director made them human and relatable and not just caricatures on the phone handling 112 emergency calls.

(5) Lee Ha Na as Kang Kwon Joo as usual brought her best to be the lead actress of this suspenseful k-drama. She does well on portraying her role without overacting it.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

There’s really not much I will complain about the second season of Voice. It has done justice as a follow-up of Voice Season 1.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
