My Review:

Lee Seung Gi is not the typical Korean actor when it comes looks. Like Bi Rain, they’re not what I can typically describe handsome when it comes to my taste but they definitely have charisma and an exceptional talent in acting. In addition, Lee Seung Gi has a knack of choosing projects that I end up enjoying. Most of the time, the stories are not typical and leaning towards fantasy but believable which I ended up truly loving to watch. So, how can I not watch this especially with what it seems like an interesting plot?

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) It is the first time that I’ve watched Lee Seung Gi in pure action genre and like a talented and professional actor he is, he took the character of Cha Gun and made him his own. He definitely is such a hunk here and has performed the fight scenes splendidly. He becomes better and better every k-drama he is into ever since he came out of the military. I wouldn’t have thought of him manly enough to pull this of but he did and aced it.

(2) Bae Suzy reinvented herself as Go Hae Ri. She pulled of the role of a NIS agent. She definitely developed into a fine actress on this k-drama. She and Lee Seung Ki are oozing with chemistry even if there’s not much romantic scenes and their love story was not even fully explored on the entire k-drama. However, their portrayal of 2 people exuding attraction yet suppress due to the circumstances of the characters is very palpable and realistic. They look good together.

(3) I have been a k-drama addict for a long time and this is one of the few times I am amazed of Korean productions have thoroughly evolved as a world class contender for hollywood. Vagabond is a true blue high quality action series in all aspects of its production.

(4) The plot maybe something that we’ve seen before but the writer and the director were able to spin it to still initiate excitement and thrill as you watched it from its very first episode till its last.

(5) The supporting casts are also 1st class and the political angle didn’t create a snooze fest for me. There’s no time for me to be sleepy as this is one thrilling k-drama.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
I can’t seem to find anything I can say bad against this k-drama except for its ending. I will be royally be pissed if there’s no second season. I don’t mind open ended endings but this one certainly requires closure.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? 110% Yes
