My Review:

I’ve been scouring the list of K-Dramas that I would like to watch while waiting for the next episode of “Flower of Evil” week after week and stumble upon this. It sounded interesting enough plus it has only 12 episodes which is ideal for me especially these days that I have so much to do.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) It is one of those sci-fi suspense thrillers that keeps you guessing and put you at the edge of your seat. It has twists and turns that will make you ask for more.

(2) I have seen Yoon Shi Yoon for the first time in an also sci-fi thriller “The Psychopath Diary”. I liked him, the story and his acting better on this K-Drama. He has delivered his character here with more depth and much interesting twist than the “The Psychopath Diary” who is more challenged whether to have a serious tone or comedic one.

(3) For some reason Yoon Shi Yoon for past 2 K-dramas I’ve watched him in it didn’t have leading ladies that fully connect with me. However, Kyung Soo Jin is a lot, lot, lot better than Jung In Sun in the “The Psychopath Diary”. At least Kyung Soo Jin as Han Sea Kyung gave a better delivery of her character especially at the latter episodes.

(4) The supporting characters have done their job, though didn’t really create a deeper impression to me more than the lead characters except Lee Hang Na as Oh Mi Sook. She has done a brilliant performance especially in the ending.

(5) This K-drama over-all truly provided close to perfection a script in tackling parallel worlds that’s fully incorporated to the story and not just make it a reason to give a love story a different flavour. It has coherence and majority stuck to its core depiction and make an impossible scenario probable. Moreover, the darker side of humanity was well meshed to provide the backbone of why a character is the way he or she is.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This K-drama is not totally perfect in the sense of why this 8210 train is able to transport certain characters into their different parallel worlds and why they are specifically chosen. That’s actually the dilemma of tackling this kind of sci-fi topic of time travel and parallel worlds especially when the same characters collides in different worlds and time. This K-drama is not an exception to that dilemma especially in the ending where it is done in a seemingly abrupt manner with a strange conversation between the lead characters albeit achieving happy ending. Over-all it is actually better than other k-dramas who dealt with this topic, but, strangely enough, I would have preferred Seo De Won ending alone as the premise of certain explanation from the character (which I will not mention so as not to ruin the entire suspenseful ingredient) who went through the same. It would have given a more realistic tone in an already unrealistic world.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes, definitely.
