My Review:

I watched this k-drama because I need a feel good k-drama after certain challenges in my life. K-dramas for me beside being entertaining is my scapegoat when I don’t want to deal with certain situations in my real life. Thus, this k-drama truly delivered what I needed.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) This K-drama made me feel I’m watching the K-dramas feel good romcom before. There’s not much serious conflicts and the intimacy between the leads are more expressed in words rather than actions like kissing and other stuff that are more expressive now in the current k-dramas. However, the lack thereof of physical intimacies didn’t hinder me as an audience to feel the love between them.

(2) Shin Hye Sun as Woo Seo Ri has effectively delivered her character as someone who is trying to cope losing her younger years from 17 to 30. Her confusion and trying to adapt to her new surroundings are very believable, thus, made me care about what happens to her in the end. The younger actors performing Woo Seo Ri also did the same in giving justice to this character.

(3) The chemistry between Shin Hye Sun and Yang Se Jong is there and made their journey worth watching even if the issue of Yang Se Jong as Gong Woo Jin is something I can’t relate especially holding oneself responsible for something he didn’t do, plan, want and feel guilty for such a long period of time.

(4) Initially, Ye Ji Won as Jennifer or Hwang Mi Jung is bit irritating, however, like the character she portrayed, she grows on you. Ye Ji Won’s performance allowed me to surpass my irritation to the relevance of her character to the story. While Ahn Hyo Seop as Yoo Chan has exceptionally shine on this k-drama as far as I am concerned especially when he revealed his feelings for Woo Seo Ri and how he handled it afterwards.

(5) The OST and the entirety of how the story is delivered made it an old style real romcom for me. Although, there are a lot of dramatic scenes, they were delivered in a heartfelt manner that made it quite enjoyable to watch and made my woes go away for awhile.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

As this is a light and typically enjoyable romcom there’s not much bad stuff I can complain about, although, I wonder why k-dramas and not only here in this k-drama that often k-characters put themselves responsible for things no one can control and just meant to happen with no one really at fault. It is not as if one is a magical person with extra powers who have knowledge of what’s gonna happen in the future. Second, coincidences is a dime in a dozen that when it often happens, it won’t be a coincidence, right?

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
