My Review:

I watched this k-drama because of Seo In Gook as I always like him as an actor and he always does some interesting k-dramas that are not all the time with the usual run of the mill stories. This k-drama is not an exception and in a way quite really different as the story progress because there are some elements that kept me guessing especially the stories behind each of the 3 main characters.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Good actors are mostly consistent in delivering their roles and Seo In Gook playing as Kim Moo Young is not an exception. He splendidly played his character who is in a cross road of figuring out who he really wanted to be in the midst of manipulative and deceitful people at the situations he is in.

(2) Jung So Min as Yoo Jin Kang compliments well with the character Kim Moo Young. She successfully reflects her character’s struggle to fight for her love and still be a good sister and person as a whole.

(3) The supporting characters also blends well with the main story like Park Sung Woong as Yoo Jin Kook and Kwan Soo Hyun as Uhm Cho Rong. They add into the depth of the story rather than diminishes it.

(4) I didn’t know that this k-drama is an adaptation of a Japanese drama. Thus, I didn’t really have preconceived notions on it or knowledge on what to expect. In its essence, it was a good thing because there are a lot of things that kinda surprised me. Scenes that is generally predictable on the outcomes, if you are like me who have seen hundreds of k-dramas before, became unpredictable. I believe it is one of the good qualities of this k-drama because it gave me something totally different to watch whether I may or may not agree on the result.

(5) I like the OST.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This k-drama is not that bad but, in all honestly, there are parts that I get bored as it becomes dragging. I can’t exactly put my finger on what’s lacking on it but, it doesn’t seem to hold my interest for too long. That’s why after 10 episodes, I skip and went right ahead and watch the last episode. I’m glad I did because the ending is also something that wouldn’t have made watching the other 5 episodes worth it. Having said that, I like that the characters went to the path where they should be and stuck to it regardless of what’s the typical thing that k-dramas do just to make the audience happy even if it doesn’t make sense. In a way, it is the salvation of this k-drama from being a total waste.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Not Really.
