My Review:

This K-Drama is one of the four series of Endless Love Korean version. Autumn In My Heart, Summer Scent, Winter Sonata and, then, there’s Spring Waltz. I can’t believe it has been almost 10 years from the time I’ve seen this K-Drama. And, as I’ve re-watched all of its 20 episodes I realized why I liked it in the first place.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Well, let’s just say I don’t mind re-watching it because of all that is beautiful of Daniel Henney. Next to my Kwon Sang Woo, he does make my heart flutters when I see him on the screen. I know to some at least on this K-Drama he still needs to improve his acting ability but for me I couldn’t really care less. He may not excel on it on this particular K-Drama but he doesn’t suck either. All I know is he tried to learn and speak 2 foreign languages on this K-Drama which is more than I can say to Seo Do Young, who supposedly grew up in Canada and didn’t even try to speak in English. No matter how sad the scene was he still makes me smile and feel for his character. He makes me want to say, don’t worry I’m here. Well, he definitely have gone far since Spring Waltz and now successfully venturing his acting chops in Hollywood.
(2) At least from the 4 Endless Love series nobody died. Not to spoil your journey in watching Spring Waltz, let me just say it has a good ending.
(3) I like that the characters written on this K-Drama remain consistent all the way. There’s no weird sudden change of heart. Its characters are all flawed and one can consider if you are in their shoes you will probably do what they did. They make decisions based on who they are as written.
(4) The locations are so magnificent. It took me 10 years from the time I watched this drama to see the beauty of Austria. It made me want to see it again in the winter this time. And, the province of Korea explicitly showed the aura of spring. It makes me want to go back to Korea and see that part of Seoul. The back draft of the sites are so wonderfully rich that it truly befits the title of this K-Drama, Spring Waltz.
(5) This K-Drama not only provides you a spectacular view of its locations but it also filled your ears the sound of music. The OST are pleasurable to listen even if I am not fan of the classical music.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

(1) I always complain about how come Korean actors don’t make an effort of learning how to speak English at least for their dialogue especially if their character grew up in an English-speaking country. It kinda destroy the credibility of their character.
(2) What’s with the hair of Seo Do Young? Every time he’s on the screen I want to get a pair of scissors and cut this ridiculous hair style. I also felt he’s not right for the role especially if the second lead is Danielle Henney who is more good looking and nicer of the character he plays. Not really believable but oh well, guess, plausible due to the experience of the leads together when they were young.
(3) Another frustration of mine when it comes with K-Dramas, what’s with this everlasting love happening always during their childhood years? Some times the basis of their crazy long lasting love that seems to last even after 15 years of not seeing each other is so banal. Even if I am a K-addict, it simply gets into my nerves the credulity of this scenario.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes.
