    My Review:

Although, I am not one of the droves of fans of Rain, he can certainly act and has undeniable talent to boot. I particularly like him in “Full House” which is one of my all time favorite k-dramas. On the other hand, what made me think of watching this k-drama is Lee Dong Gun whom I am a fan as I always like him as an actor and always felt he was one of those k-actors who are under utilised and underrated for his value. The premise of the story also piqued my interest and recently, I’m more in the mood for suspense and action thrillers rather than my usual cup of tea of feel good romcoms.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

    (1) I am quite impress with both the performances of Rain and Lee Dong Gun. Although, I shouldn’t be surprised as they are both talented actors but still it is the first time that both really reflects a certain higher level of maturity in their acting. Maybe because both of them are already married and just become fathers. They both look so manly and wow, their scenes together especially their fighting scenes are quite exciting to watch. There’s really depth now in their actions to deliver their roles and so amazing to see both their growth from their previous works to now.

    (2) Speaking of fighting scenes, I would like to say kudos to the choreographer because even if I am a girl I still get to appreciate a well choreograph action scenes especially between a buff and puff good looking men.

    (3) I like that this k-drama’s level of suspense didn’t fail to surprise me. There are quite a lot of details done on this k-drama that the director and the writer were able to successfully sustain the level of its thrill. The story also moves forward in a pace that is not afraid to do what it has to do and not just cater to the usual whimsical but no logical sense of happily ever after. You know what I mean? It really didn’t shy away from forging ahead even if some of its reality is quite sad. This k-drama was quite a breath of fresh air for me after watching some okay but not really that great k-dramas. I missed feeling excited on what will happen next and this k-drama certainly brought that in spades.

    (4) The supporting actors are quite good and though, Lee Sun Bin as Yoo Shi Hyun was overshadowed by the leading men, she still did her part the best she could to do well. It also helps that her beauty reminds of Song Hye Kyo, there’s a certain level of resemblance, so, even if her role is led quite a tragic path, one doesn’t feel upset as she is an eye candy to look at even at the worst situations.

    (5) I appreciate that it didn’t deviate from the core of the plot and the clairvoyance angle really has a significant and important relevance to the plot of the story and it is not just placed to make the k-drama seemingly different from usual same old same old stories.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

For the sake of argument, this k-drama may have flaws especially for those scenes that the protagonists didn’t predict that they are fighting someone as well with the same ability or even more than their asset and yet, still, the characters didn’t took precautionary measures to prepare for that fact so that tragedy could have been avoided. Also, in most of the action dramas and films whether Korean or not, I often wonder how come these people can take so much physical abuse like punches and other painful stuff but they seem not to have any scars or aches in their bodies. It is like watching Superman who can’t simply get hurt. Having said that, otherwise, this is still one of my favorite k-dramas and consider in the lines of one of the best done for 2018.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? 110% Yes, even if there’s hardly no romance.
