My Review:

I watched this K-drama because there’s not much interesting to watch lately and the premise seems to be intriguing to take a look and check. Episode 1 peek my interest and proceeded to watch the entire 16 episodes. It was actually quite good but for some reason I can’t seem connect with Jung In Sun as Shim Bo Kyung as the lead actress. All in all, it was okay.

(1) Yoon Shi Yoon as Yook Dong Shik is very good in portraying his character. One can already feel empathy with him. Most of us experience one way or the other being used by people we thought we can trust. And, he delivered that essence on his character to a “T”.

(2) I liked the fact that the goodness of Dong Shik was fully believed by his family and co-workers even though they took advantage of him most of the time. Yet, when it matters, they didn’t get swayed to think otherwise. Most of the time, people around you and even supposed family and friends can easily be convinced the worse in you, but, on this k-drama, this is the redeeming quality of the people who made his life miserable most of the time. It strikes a certain balance.

(3) The writer was able to inject naturally a lightness in a murderous and suspense plot. It wasn’t force but became a part of the story due to Dong Shik’s character.

(4) The pace was fast enough not to get boring and provided certain surprises that’s becoming to its suspense genre.

(5) The story, the director and the supporting casts were able to maintain a certain consistency to make you curious enough to watch each episode on what will happen next.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This is one of the K-Dramas that’s actually good and not much to disagree with but didn’t really give me enough impact that I will remember it in a couple of months which I did forgot after I wrote this review a few months back. I don’t know why that is but in the end, it was over all just okay for me.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? It’s Okay.
