My Review:

After I enjoyed watching OCN’s “Hand, The Guest” that deals with the horror and suspense genre and topic of exorcism which I don’t normally gravitate to as a must watch, I got interested to see on how OCN will spin the “Priest”. I hate watching horror films as I fear the visuals that gets retained in my memory even after, however, I also believe one should overcome ones fears and after watching “Hand, The Guest” that turned out really good, I felt I should try this k-drama to see if I’m already truly okay with dealing my own fears. “Priest” is scarier visually than the “Hand, The Guest” but the story is as compelling thus, whatever fear I felt for some strange reason I felt also exorcised from it because the story in the end really deals with ones faith and beliefs. I’m not a religious person but I truly believe that there’s someone or something greater than all of us. That we are in this world with a purpose and to do good as much as we can. And, even if life threw us a curve ball most of the time, we just have to hang onto what we believe in and survive. That’s what I ended up feeling after watching this k-drama.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) There haven’t been romcom k-dramas that I am really impress lately even with big name actors in it, so, I’m quite impress of watching actors who can really showcase their talent even if they’re not hallyu stars or stars I’m into and still fully enjoy watching it. This k-drama have such actors and I am happy to say that they’ve all did their part splendidly to create a great horror k-drama to watch and enjoy.

(2) I like that the story has twists and turns. There maybe some predictable ones but there are major twists that I’m glad I didn’t expect to happen. Thus, it added to the value of the k-drama.

(3) I must admit there are scenes that scared the shit out of me but it has given me more than that as a viewer. It has depth and human factors that we can relate as a person. It is indeed amazing to watch the probability of what one person can do in the name of love and, generally, on the surface we may feel sad about it but it is actually more profound on what we feel as it truly embodies what love truly is…sacrifice.

(4) I’m in awe of the quality of the production and the special effects. The director was also able to relate the writer’s story in a more visual way that as a viewer I can’t help but admire.

(5) The actors have culminated their work to make it a great k-drama of its genre but more so the child actors. It wouldn’t have been easy for them especially that their characters deal with something scary for adults.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

There’s really nothing much I can complain about this k-drama. Actually, it is one of the few k-dramas that shows a realistic work inside an ambulance in case of real emergency. Moreover, this is one of the k-dramas that proves to show we don’t need big name actors to create quality k-dramas we can enjoy to watch even if it makes you afraid to have nightmares later.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes.
