My Review:

OCN seems to have a knack of creating suspense thrillers that are truly exciting and unpredictable. Even if I don’t know the leads and it does not have the typical k-drama actors I swoon over and look forward in watching, I will choose this k-drama anytime over the waste of the recent k-dramas with hallyu or popular k-drama actors that have run of the mill stories or non-sensical ones.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Given that Song Sae Byuk is not so pleasing to the eyes and look quite ordinary in comparison to the typical heartthrob I go for when I watch k-dramas but I soon forget his external looks and saw his internal handsomeness as he excellently delivers the character Kang Pil Sung. He made me connect to the story and made me feel empathy with his character. You can’t really judge the book by its cover.

(2) Go Joon Hee is also as not as beautiful as beauty goes per my taste when I look at k-drama actresses but she also happens to be way far prettier than her leading man, Song Sae Byuk, yet both of them made it work. I ended up caring and rooting for their love affair against all odds. Go Joon Hee also portrayed her character as Hong Seo Jung with the right dose of realism. She doesn’t feel awkward when she needs to reflect her love to an ordinary looking man as some actresses do in certain k-dramas. They are an odd couple but somehow they were able to connect with me as an audience.

(3) I miss Yun Jung Hoon in “Vampire Prosecutor” K-drama series. How I wish they make another season on it. His supporting role here somehow temporarily made up for it and assuage my desire to watch him again on a lead role. He’s really a great actor, probably, even more talented than his real wife, Ha Ga-In. As usual, he brought his A-game here and I enjoyed his portrayal of Oh Soo Hyuk.

(4) If there’s one thing I love about k-dramas, it is the pool of quality talents they have. They really have great actors just like the supporting cast here, and, as generally expected they all gave brilliant depictions of their characters whether big or small in making the story better.

(5) I must commend the writer and the director of this k-drama because it’s indeed exciting to watch and gave justice to the genre of suspense thriller. Though there are a lot of heart breaking scenarios but I believe they are necessary to make the story more real and unpredictable.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

There’s nothing I would like to change on this k-drama. In fact, it is quite surprising that I enjoyed watching a love story with a male lead who looks very regular and like everybody else’s. He’s very relatable and was able to surpass the need for me to prefer to watch the typical good looking actors that I’m fond of watching. Moreover, though for some, the ending may not be satisfying for them ,but, for me, it brought what’s realistically an eventuality for the story.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
