My Review:

I watched this k-drama because I read in one of Soompi articles that’s it’s a good romantic drama and I’m in need of it to have my mind distracted from things in my life I don’t want to deal yet. I’m also curious to watch again Jung Hae In, whom I found a good actor after watching him at “Something in the Rain”. Glad I trusted the comments of the netizens on the Soompi article because this k-drama indeed effectively entertained my tired brain in thinking things it doesn’t want to think about yet.

(1) This k-drama has a similar vibe with “Something in the Rain” especially since it also stars Jung Hae In, written by the same writer, Kim Eun and directed by the same director, Ahn Pan-seok. However, I prefer the pacing of this k-drama than “Something in the Rain”. It is faster and less lagging scenes that tends to bore me. I read that they wanted the same actress, Son Ye-Jin, to play the role but, instead, got Han Ji Min, which I think turned out for the better, otherwise, this k-drama will look like a replica of “Something in the Rain”

(2) Jung Hae In as Yoo Ji Ho quite well delivered his role and, though, his character in “Something in the Rain” have different circumstances, I felt he didn’t really bring something new to this k-drama. Having said that, he was still pleasurable to watch and effective as a leading man.

(3) Han Ji Min as Lee Jung In is pleasurable to watch especially as she reflects her character that embodies the new mindset of women nowadays especially in a very conservative Korean culture. She has stood her ground and not afraid to admit who she is and what she wants as a woman.

(4) Although, the k-drama’s plot is not unique but the director was able to make this k-drama engaging to watch and successfully hooked the audience to care about what will happen to the characters of the story. It also excellently depicted situations and challenges of women in a conservative society as well as the difference on how the old and the new generations think differently about what’s important in relationships especially status in life.

(5) I love the OST. Actually, even the OST is similar in tone with the OST of “Something in the Rain”.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This k-drama is typical for k-romantic dramas especially on its issues and certain plots, however, the actors and director effectively made it in a way that’s pleasantly to watch and not to come out same old same old from the usual k-dramas that tackles similar issues before. In the end, it may not be unique but still quite worthy to watch.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
