Synopsis:
Ra Bong-Hee grew up in a province beside the see. Her mother is a diver, so, for awhile she does the same thing too until her mother encourage her to follow her dreams. She became the personal stylist of Seo Joon-Oh, the leader of the singing group, Dreamers. Seo Joon-Oh used to be popular until his career went downhill as he was blamed for the death of one of the apprentice of the group who writes songs for the dreamers and his friend, Shin Jae-Hyun. Seo Joon-Oh is trying to revive his career and joined his previous group mates of the Dreamers, his manager and other colleagues in the business with Ra Bong-Hee to perform in another country. Unfortunately, their plane crashes and they are forced to learn how to survive in the deserted island. Being there for more than 4 months, Seo Joon-Oh discovered that everything that was happening to him was created in a sinister plot to take over the Legend Entertainment Company that handles them and the ambition of his friend he trusts. He now needs not only to survive the challenges but be able to live long enough to reveal the truth with the support of Ra Bong-Hee.

My Review:
The premise of the story was quite good that’s why I wanted to watch it. It was different from other K-Dramas out there. However, somewhere down the line even if it was not boring because of the great actors involved in it, the story and the characters progresses in unbelievable situations that it became a disaster just like their plane crashing into the sea. I like entertainment but not when you are treated like a stupid audience. It became nonsensical and totally destroyed what could have been a great K-Drama.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) The first few episodes are really interesting. Even in the midst of tragedy, the writers were able to write dialogues that found humor in the midst of difficulty.
(2) The actors are really great. You enjoy watching them even if the story becomes too stupid to mean anything that makes sense.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
(1) Sometimes I wonder how medical doctors in K-dramas like this one seems to be so certain in what the person can and can’t remember. CT scan may provide diagnosis of what’s probably got damaged but it is not magic that it will show everything of what a person remembers, as anyone in the medical field knows that science hasn’t discovered yet everything about how our brains truly works in its full capacity. There are also cases that doctors in K-dramas can tell with certainty when the person will die or how it died even with so many factors involved. Like this one, how can you say the person is murdered when the person is in a plane crash? Because of trauma in the body? Bruises? All of them you can have when your plane crashes. Go figure!
(2) There are some ridiculous events that goes beyond what’s normal. Surviving after a cliff fall, going under big waves, be stabbed, punched, etc and still be alive with no scars or bruises afterwards. Also, sometimes the dialogues make me cringe like allowing yourself to be judge for supposedly killing someone in self-defense. For some reason, these scenes even if done to make a dramatic effect, irritated me to no end and marred my enjoyment of watching it.
(3) The villain is like man of steel. He simply doesn’t die and for some reason his bones don’t even breaks and still had power to kill.
(4) It was so incredulous that a man who purposely killed more than 3 people and willing to kill even more people to cover his mistakes and achieve his goals in life will suddenly hear and listen to reason and develops a conscience. This K-Drama creates scenarios that are not consistent to the characters. It was really exasperating to watch how the writer and the director destroyed the story and character development.
(5) And, what’s with the ending? Really? If you kill more than 3 people, you’re considered a serial killer, right? And, you get to enjoy to paint in the end and, you’ll say “hate the sin and not the sinner”. Seriously?!?
Would I recommend this K-Drama? Not, really.
