My Review:

I watched this film because I often stumble comments on blogs and reviews of how good it was. So, I got curious and though I expect it to be a heavy drama and more on the realistic side rather than my common love for happy romcoms I still took the plunge and watched it.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Lee Joon Ho as Lee Gang Doo is very good in this k-drama. In fact, he totally looks different from the first k-drama I saw him into, “Chief Kim”. Here, he is down and out and has all the trappings of a loser yet his character though rough on the edges shows a good soul. Lee Joon Ho was able to show and reflect that in all of its 16 episodes and one can’t be surprised why his character was loved by others.

(2) There’s a good chemistry between Lee Joon Ho and Won Jin Ah. The k-drama’s story revolves so much about them that without it, one wouldn’t be able to stand 16 full hours of watching the story about them.

(3) The supporting actors are good but, particularly Na Moon Hee as Jung Sook Hee and Kim Kang Hyun as Sang Man. They are the 2 actors that made me feel deeply in certain scenes.

(4) It truly captures the different emotions and journey of the people left behind by those who unexpectedly dies especially in tragic accidents where they could have been prevented but due to indifference and greed they occurred.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

I had high expectations of this drama and maybe, that was the problem. The blogs and review sites have been raving so much about it that I expected too much and maybe, that’s the reason why I got disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it is not bad but it wasn’t that great either. The pacing was too slow for me and too much drama one after another that sometimes I feel I can’t breathe. It tried to put some breaks on it through subplots and other characters but as a whole it just didn’t totally captured my heart. After 8 episodes, I have to skip the rest and watched the ending. And, alas, unsurprisingly,I still got the gist of what happened. Thank goodness it has a good ending otherwise I would have killed myself wasting 9 hours of watching tragic events.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Not Really.
