My Review:

I simply love Yoo Seung Ho as an actor and for what I read about him as a person, he seems to be as great as he is in acting. So, I like watching his k-dramas especially the last one I saw “Ruler-Master of the Mask”, his K-dramas are not only with interesting plots but he gives an extraordinary depth to the characters he portray. “I’m Not A Robot” is another masterpiece on his lists.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) This k-drama brings a special mixture of fun and deep emotions. The background of the lead characters, Kim Min Kyu and Jo Ji Ah, made a significant impact to the story because I got connected to who they are. More so, since, both Yoo Seung Ho as Kim Min Kyu and Chae Soo Bin as Jo Ji Ah brilliantly portrayed their characters, I can’t help but get affected and involved in savouring the story as it unfolds. I have seen hundreds of k-dramas but I can say that there are scenes between Kim Min Kyu and Jo Ji Ah that strung the core of my heart, as it gives me a feeling of love. The lead actors, Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin have great chemistry together.

(2) Like most of the great k-dramas, all the actors involved delivered their parts to support the leads at their best. Even the side characters developed into an interesting comic relief or something one can appreciate like I did.

(3) Although, this k-drama’s premise is base on a science fiction that still needs to fully happen in real life and may result to many unbelievable consequences that’s not logical even in reel life, it was able to surpass my level of caring of what’s logical and illogical because the main crux of the story is really how Kim Min Kyu overcame his illness by believing in love, developing trust and learning to forgive human frailties. This k-drama was able to make me feel good in times when my real life is not so good. In the end, that’s what’s entertainment is really all about, isn’t it?

(4) I like the pace of the story. Its development and the characters made it interesting from beginning to end.

(5) I love the OST. It is soft and, though, some have a sound of being sad, but it was beautiful in melody.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

I often wonder how one can really predict what people like in certain things. So, I truly believe in the power of luck. This k-drama, in my opinion, is a true blue romantic comedy in its essence, thus, one shouldn’t expect a lot like life changing effect and serious topics on a genre like this. When one wants to watch a romcom, one should expect good vibes, entertainment and happy endings and I believe this k-drama successfully did it with so much love and hope it brings to an audience when real life is most of the time not. I was totally surprise of its low ratings especially versus “Black Knight” which I also watch and often gets bored. Both deals with something that doesn’t exists that we know of in the real world, yet, in my humble opinion, I’m Not A Robot is a lot more superior and logical than “Black Knight”. For me, this K-Drama deserves more appreciation from the viewers and honestly, there’s not much I can say that’s wrong with it both on the story and how the actors and production delivered it.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? A Definite YES.
