My Review:

I’ve actually watched I Need Romance 2 in full. I must admit I have more connection on the actors there especially with Lee Jin-Wook than here but I prefer the story of this one than the 2nd version. It is also much on a lighter tone. I really don’t have much to say about this version because it is a K-Drama that is simply tolerable when there’s nothing much better to see or for you to do at that given time.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) I like the way the characters depict the joy and pains of dating called Dating’s Hell, how very apt. Of trying to kiss a lot of frogs before you can finally find the prince.

(2) I like the point that we remember in our memories may not be the factual truth.

(3) I like the different variety of romantic stories. Some successful and some in working progress. I like it because no matter how much we would like to think that love ends by saying “I Love You”, it is actually just the beginning. It takes sincere effort to both parties to make it work.

(4) I like watching mature K-Dramas especially when it doesn’t make excuses to show more the physical affections when it comes to love.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

It is missing a special ingredient. I can’t pinpoint it because overall it is an okay K-Drama but it is simply too ordinary for me that could have been done in a 1-4 episodes K-Drama special.

(1) I know many love the actor, Sung Joon, and consider him as yummy, but, I’m sorry I beg to disagree. I just simply can’t connect with him and don’t really find him that attractive. And, honestly, what’s with the style of his clothes? Really, hearts for a man’s sweater? Really?

(2) I often wonder why K-Dramas often have characters supposedly have lived in the US, yet they can speak Korean without an accent and can’t speak English with an American accent. This are details that actors should imbibed,so, their character can be believable.

(3) Although, the stories are nice, I simply can’t make a connection to most of the actors and actresses playing the parts especially the lead ones. In truth, I much enjoyed the love story of Lee Min-Jung and Ahn Min-Seok. It is more interesting. Thus, after 7 episodes, I skipped and watched the 15th and the ending. Seems I didn’t miss much of the story.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Maybe, if you are trying to find something just okay and nothing heavy to watch.
