Hae-In was taken in by her savior, Leader Shin, who gave her a new identity supposedly for her protection and was trained to be a warrior along with four other children. My Review:

I actually don’t like spoilers when I read reviews, however, I have to make this one an exception. I will try not to reveal too much as this K-Drama is still good to watch no matter how tragic it maybe. The reason why I have to reveal a spoiler is because all the tragedy that happened in the entire story could have been avoided if they had sex. Yap. That’s the joke except no one is left to laugh with you among the characters by the end of the story. All the mystery, legends, swords, power play and killing could all have been avoided or defeated if Yoon Shi-yeon or Hae-In had lost her virginity before the lunar eclipse. That’s actually the most tragic of it all. They all sacrificed when the simplest answer is right there in front of all their eyes. I don’t know if I will laugh or cry for this K-Drama.

I’ve watched this K-Drama 11 years ago and I re-watched it now because I’ve always like the premise of the story. I can’t remember all of it that’s why I re-watched it, although, I did remember feeling tragic about it. I knew all along it will end the way I won’t like and in some recesses of my brain I can still remember some characters that made an impression to me like what will happen to the characters of Rang and Chae-Yi, so, this means it is a drama that affected me 8 years ago and it actually affected me now 11 years after re-watching it. Tragic it may seem, I did enjoy watching this K-Drama. As always, my basis for my rating is on whether I can watch it without wanting to stop until I finish it and if I can somehow remember it long after I did watch it. This K-Drama did both to me. However, it is not a perfect K-Drama. Actually, far from it. One of its imperfections, like I’ve mentioned in my intro, everything could have been fine if Kang Min-Woo and Yoon Shi-yeon just did even once a roll in the haystack so to speak before that day of sacrifice. Another thing that really rubs my nerves is that time and time again in K-Dramas they always portray certain stupidity of what’s supposedly a special unit of cops. I have no idea what they are thinking protecting someone important or getting evidence or even fighting someone that they all know are not clearly human like the way they did in this K-Drama. What the heck!!! They go in a T-Shirt and jeans? Have a stick? Are they really that stupid? I know this was done in 2004 but what the hell…in that year there are weapons that already exists that can kill someone even if they are not human. They are supposedly foxes, right? They are still living things not aliens that can be killed, so, what the f—-ck are they doing fighting them hand to hand? It just don’t make sense and it is frustrating as hell.

Okay, I have to stop from venting…nothing will change. This drama has been done 11 years ago and I still did enjoy the tragedy or maybe my liking it is a tragedy in itself. At the end of the day, if I have to be painfully honest I still like this K-Drama. Why? Well, it shows different kinds of love. Actually, love is basically the main motivation of each and every character of the story… Kang Min-Woo and Moon-Young romantic love for Yoon Shi-Yeon; Moon-Young, Rang and Chae-Yi unrequited love; Min-Joo love of sibling; Detective Moon and Sa-Joon love for duty and friendship; Leader Shin love for power; Director Jang love for revenge; and Seo Chan-Hyuk, Kim Young-Mo, Jung Se-Kyung and even Yoon Shi-Yeon love for the human race. And, of all the love I got to see in this K-Drama, I can only admire the latter. I’m always in conflict if the human race is deserving to be save as we are not really that good all the time if we are truly going to be honest about it. In fact we are actually quite a cruel race depending on ones motivations, so, I will always admire people who are willing to sacrifice their lives for this race.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? It holds a certain charm for me, so, my answer is yes. Don’t kill me but I have to give a higher rating to this K-Drama as I have to be true to the basis of my ratings. Should you watch it? Well, it is totally up to you.

My Rating to this Drama: 4/5 Stars
