My Review:

I watched this k-drama because I was curious on how it was delivered in comparison to the Taiwanese version drama. I have seen the Taiwanese version a long time ago and even if I don’t like the sound of their language I was able to finish and immensely enjoyed it. With this korean version, I kinda have mixed feelings. There are some moments I enjoyed it, however, majority of it I didn’t.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) It is very rare that I like the second lead more than the main actor but this time around I like better the character Daniel Pitt played by Choi Jin Hyuk. At least he acts normal and I can enjoy watching a “not over the top” acting of the character Lee Gun, that’s totally irritating.

(2) I love the character of Kim Mi Young’ mom. She’s delightful especially when she’ trying to protect and stand against people who harms her beloved daughter.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

I wish they made this k-drama similar or close to the original and popular Taiwanese drama especially the persona of Lee Gun. It would have been better if the k-drama didn’t force comedic scenes that are not really funny most of the time.

(1) I remember why I dropped this K-drama the first time I tried to watched it after it was first shown on TV. It was the over acting and trying to be funny Jang Hyuk as Lee Gun. It was over the top that I found not amusing at all. I’ve seen Jang Hyuk in other dramas and I’ve always enjoyed his performance until I watched him on the 1st episode of this k-drama. I know that he’s just trying to act into the character but it is really weird and not in a funny way.

(2) I prefer the normalcy of the situation in the Taiwanese version than this version. There are scenes and situations that could have been handled like a regular person without trying very hard to make it funny. Like what’s with Jang Hyuk’s hairstyle and the fake laugh? It bugs me to no end while watching him. Thank goodness his hair got cut on the latter episodes.

(3) The reason why they got married in the first place is because she got pregnant yet she doesn’t even look pregnant in almost all the episodes like on Episode 8 when she’s wearing a beautiful gown that if I wear it, I will look more pregnant than Kim Mi Young is.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Not Really
