My Review:

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

I watched this k-drama because the premise seems to be interesting. Although, I’m familiar with the actress, Park Bo Young, in “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon”, I don’t know the leading actor, Ahn Hyo Seop. Nonetheless, due to lack of interesting k-dramas I want to watch, I delve into this k-drama in need of a good romcom after watching several mystery and action thrillers.

(1) Park Bo Young delivers the character of Ko Se Yun with good comedic timing in her acting. She’s passable to watch and didn’t bore me to death.

(2) Ahn Hyo Seop as Cha Min is quite good and made the k-drama interesting. Though he’s good looking and in his character he is considered drop dead gorgeous, I don’t personally consider him one.

(3) The twist about the abyss made this k-drama something entertaining to watch and the turn of events were fast pace, thus, I immensely enjoyed watching it.

(4) What made this k-drama riveting to watch are Lee Sung Jae as Oh Yeong Cheol or Oh SeongCheol, Kwon Soo Hyun as Seo Ji Wook and Lee Si-Eon as Park Dong Chul. I believe they made this k-drama worth watching rather than the lead actors.

(5) I like the OST. It is none intrusive and it has a chill and cute tune.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

(1) This k-drama would have been better if it explained better the mystery of this abyss.

(2) It is quite unbelievable that the original Lee Mi Do surgical transformation was so vast that it even changed her height. They should have gotten a different actress to make this farce at least believable.

(3) The rules of the abyss when you are resurrected from death is so mixed up. For some reason, only the leads had a change of how they look. It is like the writer is doing the rules of what the abyss can do depending on the budget of the production. They ended up sticking to the actors and actresses that were resurrected from death.

(4) The weakness of this k-drama is its consistency on several events as the story goes along. For example, Han So Hee as Jang Hee Jin had a leg injury to the point that the doctor even said her leg might need surgery yet on the next scenes, her leg immediately healed and became okay. In the first place, the cause of her injury and the diagnosis of the doctor don’t jibe. I don’t know if the problem is the translation but the writer should have just stuck to a more believable diagnosis of mild sprain rather than making it very dramatic and then, in the end, making this event ridiculous and unnecessary to the story.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
