My Review:

Welcome 2 Life didn’t create much fuss in online news or ratings, same as the previous k-drama of Rain, “Sketch”. Honestly, I wonder why because the 2 k-dramas were quite one of the best ones I’ve seen with him in it since “Full House.” Sometimes it is really hard to predict what the audience in general really likes. Everything is done right yet those that I deem nonsense and waste of time seems to be the thing that works. Maybe because people just like to have something silly and stupid rather than remind them of the harsh realities of life.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) I never find Rain good looking yet in the past k-dramas I’ve seen him as mentioned above, he actually looks good. I guess, marriage suits him. He also act even better than before. And, I find him very suitable on these roles. But, it seems the world disagrees with me. Nonetheless, I like Sketch and this one.

(2) The k-drama interjected enough physical intimacy between Lee Jae Sang and Ra Shi On to make their relationship believable. The chemistry between Bi or Rain and Im Ji Yun are there, making me forget half of the time that Rain in real life is married and forget about the actors and appreciate more the characters. Im Ji Yun as Ra Shi On was the right actress for the role and did justice to deliver it.

(3) All the supporting actors did well, but, Kwak Shi Yang as Goo Dong Taek shines the best among the rest. His love for Detective Ra Shi On touched me so much that how I wish Ra Shi On’s character on the other world ended up at least with him.

(4) I like the storyline even if it wasn’t explained how Lee Jae Sang was able to go in a parallel world. In the end, although, it is half suspense and crime drama with touch of sci-fi, the plot line is really about Lee Jae Sang’s discovery of what is truly important in his life. The rest is just to add flavor.

(5) I find the entire k-drama entertaining with a little bit touch of each genre. Some may find a lot of flaws about it, but, for me, it delivered what I needed, to be engaged and enjoy watching the journey of the characters.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This k-drama may not satisfy some because of the lack of explanation of why Lee Jae Sang was chosen to be able to see and have the chance to live the parallel world and how it became possible. The sci-fi part for those who wants logic may not appreciate the lack of the k-drama to expound it. However, for me, even if I would like a bit of explanation to it, but, in the end, it didn’t really matter because the parallel world was just used as an excuse to make Lee Jae Sang discovery of what’s truly important to life unique and different from all the k-dramas that provide logical stories. At the end of the day, in my humble opinion, it really did make it interesting to watch.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
