My Review:

I’ve always like Yoo In Na as a k-actress especially when I watched “Queen In Hyun’s Man”. She’s always been good in a romcom and this one fits to a “T” on this genre. It is light, enjoyable, entertaining and romantic from beginning to end. Notwithstanding having a good looking and charismatic leading man in the presence of Lee Dong Wook. Guess, their chemistry in “Goblin” created such a buzz that they need to have a k-drama all on their own.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) This a typical romcom with not much heavy conflict but the writer and the director made it fun to watch without going down the lane of getting boring or making one cringe. In the end, it is a good entertainment when you just want to be lazy and relax from the hustle and bustle of life.

(2) Yoo In Na as Oh Jin Shim or Oh Yoon Seo and Lee Dong Wook as Kwon Jung Rok still have their chemistry from “Goblin”, though, not as sizzling as between Song Joong Ki and Song Hey Kyo in DOTS where the dream project of her character’s k-drama got its inspiration or even between her and Ji Hyun-Woo in “Queen In Hyun’s Man”. However, they still both made it work and it turned out pretty good.

(3) The side stories are also not something one will be irritated about and consider them as a nuisance. Often, I find secondary stories boring and obviously a filler to make the story longer. On this case, one of the secondary stories, the love story between Shim Hyung Tak as Choi Yoon Hyuk and Park Kyung Hye as Dan Moon Hee, even gave me some laughs.

(4) The supporting casts did their job and truly provide support to the story of the main leads. Their characters are not intrusive to the main story. It also helps that the k-drama have guests stars like Jang Ki Yong, that seems to tickle my fancy watching in k-dramas no matter how big or small his participation is.

(5) I like that they blended the romcom with some legal cases that provided a break of the k-drama just concentrated on being a romcom. It added flavor such as the legal case of Park Su-Myeong and the case of Oh Yoon Seo. It has enough duration that it didn’t stir far from the main story and becomes a hindrance.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

There’s really not much to complain about as the k-drama is built to be a romcom and intended to entertain, thus, whatever one may see as weakness in its production and delivery is not an issue for me because it gave to the audience what it’s meant to be.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
