My Review:
I watched this drama because of the premise about this supposed mystical watch that turns back the time. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a fantasy genre and JTBC is very good at delivering fantasy dramas with short episodes. Surprisingly though, it wasn’t really a fantasy but a good drama with some light moments and a very good message about life.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) Both actresses that played Kim Hye-Ja, Ha Ji-Min and Kim Hye-Ja were really excellent on this K-Drama. Ha Ji-Min brought the lighter and fun side of Kim Hye-Ja while Kim Hye-Ja the depth of the character of Kim Hye-Ja’s journey of her life.
(2) Nam Joo-Hyuk was good on this K-drama and was able to bring out his talent doing his role at least on equal footing alongside with great actresses, Ha Ji-Min and Kim Hye-Ja.
(3) As most of the K-Dramas produced as of late, the supporting casts brought additional value to the story especially the powerhouse portrayals of Ahn Nae Sang as Hye-Ja’s Father and Lee Jung-Eun as Hye-Ja’s Mother. They have wonderful scenes that are totally heartrenching, more so between Ahn Nae-Sang and Kim Hye-Ja on the last episode. This is the type of scenes why K-Drama rocks.
(4) I love the surprising revelation of this K-Drama that I didn’t expect. I rarely get surprise, but, this one it did. So, I won’t mention what it is on this review but this made sense to the K-Drama and made me even appreciate it more.
(5) It has given me so many life lessons and things to think and ponder about. Although, it is quite a sad K-Drama, at the end, of the day, it is really true that when everything boils down to what we remember to be the happiest moments of our lives and what truly matters the most, it is the simple and banal moments we spent with our love ones.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
I cannot find anything that matters too much to me that I can say I dislike it. It has deliver well a story that’s meaningful and poignant in the end.
Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
