My Review:

I accidentally found this k-drama when I was searching for a k-drama to watch. Almost all I am interested in watching is still currently on air and I hate waiting for the next episode to be aired with a subtitle already. And, it is a great thing I found this gem as I truly need a dose of a feel good romcom and this k-drama just gave it to me in spades.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) I love the bromance between Lee Yoo Chan and Min Tae Joo. Their friendship went through a difficult challenge yet it survived. Their love for each other as friends enabled them to reconcile. It reminded me of a friend but, unfortunately, with mine after the reconciliation, it was really never the same again.

(2) I like that the character Lee Yoo Chan stayed the same from beginning to end, though, the transformation was not radical and ridiculously impossible. The character change was driven by his love for the people in his life. And, this is splendidly performed by Soo Ho, who I really don’t know as an actor and my first time to watch in a K-drama.

(3) I like the camaraderie among the developers of the “Big File”. They are such fun to watch and as supporting characters, they really provided support to the story and not be nuances.

(4) I’ve always seen Kim Ye Won as the villain or antagonist of the story but this is the first time I like the role she’s playing even if she is still the antagonist of the leading lady. Her role as Min Tae Ra becomes an antagonist because of the kind of way her character responds to the given situations which for me, is quite within the more normal range way of a scorned or rejected woman reacts especially if she is used to getting her own way and totally in love with a person who doesn’t love her back. Kim Ye Won portrayed her role to a “T”.

(5) I’ve heard that this is an adaptation from a Japanese TV series. Although, I haven’t seen it, I think the Korean version did some justice to it.

(6) I like the ensemble of this k-drama. As a whole they made it work and not boring. Though, there are some typical scenarios but, one thing I can say and did appreciate is that this is the first k-drama that I watched that there’s no ridiculous videoke or “singing while drank” scene. It was quite refreshing not to see this common scene in almost all K-dramas.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This K-drama is typical but they made it enjoyable to watch, thus, there’s not much I can say wrong with it in terms of its entertainment value.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes.
