My Review:

I watched this k-drama because after watching a full action and a full blown melodrama, I was in need of a good dose of romcom. “Radio Romance” may not be the romcom to die for but it was passable to what I needed to be entertained and feel good after stressful weeks at work.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Initially, it took me sometime to warm up with the leading man, Yoon Doo Joon as Ji Soo Ho. However, after awhile he grew on me and liked his portrayal of his character. He was consistent and the changes of who he was had a natural progression as the story unfolds.

(2) I really loved Nam Da Reum as Younger Soo Ho. In the few scenes he appeared, he made a mark on me. I think he will be someone big when he grows older.

(3) I like the small stories created for the radio show. They are heartwarming and made certain lull episodes more interesting.

(4) Kim So Hyun has grown so well as a young lady. She made this k-drama interesting to watch as Song Geu Rim.

(5) I love the OST.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

Although this K-Drama is not something one will want to shelve to oblivion but it is also not a K-Drama that will etch to one’s heart as one of the best romcom. There’s something lacking that I simply can’t put my finger on it.

(1) The pacing of the story is a bit slow and there are episodes that seems not necessary to develop the story.

(2) I love the story of the younger version of the leading characters rather than the adult ones.

(3) There are some characters who are unnecessary to the story. In fact, this is one of the k-dramas where some supporting characters and their stories were not really interesting and felt they were placed to just fill up to make the main story longer.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? It is okay.
