My Review:

I accidentally watched this film because there’s not a Korean Drama I am interested to currently watch and I’m in the mood for a romance. At the end of the day, I was glad I did because the film did give me romance but much more than I bargain for.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) I often mention in my reviews that entertainment value is more important to me than anything else when I critic a Korean drama or film because I watched them to escape realities of life and not be too much reminded of them. Thus, I prefer romcom as it gives me an escape from reality but the story is still realistic enough to make sense. This is what I got from this film. What’s surprising for me with “On Your Wedding Day” is that the director was able to successfully blend realities of life that’s sad even but was able to entertain me all through out the film without dragging me to depression afterwards.

(2) Though Park Bo-Young is the star of the film but it’s Kim Young-Kwang as Woo-Yeon brought this film and made it work. He was so good in portraying his character that he made this sad romantic story lighter with his natural rendition of funny moments in the film.

(3) It is good that the lead actors have chemistry and they were able to portray their roles as realistic as it could be with all the bells and whistles of romance without the cringe.

(4) I must tip my hat off to the writer and the director of this film because they are able to relay a love story that span for 10 years with an ending you rather not have but will still make the audience feel that it’s one good film worthy to watch.

(5) The supporting cast were fabulous especially the male friends of Woo-Yeon. They have provided short sub-plots to make the story more whole without them being an irritating distraction or filler of the film.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

I can honestly say that this is one of the great romantic Korean films I’ve seen and there’s nothing I will change including the ending.

Would I recommend this K-Movie? Yes
