My Review:
I didn’t have much expectations when I watched this k-drama and I must say I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. It is full of depth and somehow real yet without totally being dark. It shows what some people feel when they went through some difficult experiences in life.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) I find myself relating to the feelings of Ji Young about withdrawing from people to avoid being hurt and just try to live life in peace. Her thoughts as she goes through the process of allowing people to be close to you is sometimes what I go through after being disappointed with the hypocrisy of it all. And, Min Hyo Rin has brilliantly shown that through out the short k-drama. I felt what she felt even if what she went through is totally different from mine but still I can relate as to why.
(2) I love the opposite feel that Byuk Soo’s character reflects and also see some parts of myself with him as well. He was like me when I still believe in the goodness of most people and the craving to be loved and accepted that you’ll be willing to give and risk all of who you are. Kang Joo Ha like Min Hyo Rin has delivered his character an effective contrast of another way of seeing people, love and life in general. His character is the hope that sometimes one needs to have, so, one can appreciate what life brings whether it’s happy or sad.
(3) I appreciate the consistency of the characters and how it grows and transition to be better than themselves.
(4) I love that this k-drama was able to tell a great story on only 2 episodes. So, they were able to focus on just the 2 main characters and showed the real slice of life without the unnecessary supplemental stories on other characters that are sometimes not even interesting nor entertaining.
(5) I like the blend of the OST to the story.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
This k-drama is surprisingly well-done and the main leads provided the feel and depth of the story in its full essence. The ending is good but for some reason there’s something lacking in it. It feels a bit rush to me but, regardless, it didn’t matter because it is still something really quite great.
Would I recommend this K-Drama? Absolutely Yes.
