Synopsis:
Ko Dong Man, Choi Ae Ra, Kim Joo Man and Baek Sul Hee grew up together and studied at Chunbang High. Ko Dong Man dreams to be a great taekwondo athlete and has a talent for it but became a pest control service man when he grew up. Choi Ae Ra dreams to be a TV announcer but became an information desk employee in a department store. Kim Joo Man who just loves to eat became a buyer in home shopping network while Baek Sul Hee who always dreams to be a good housewife became a customer representative in dream home shopping network. All of them never became who they wanted to be, however, they all tried to find their own destiny and love in their own way. And, this is where the story goes.

My Review:
I watched this drama because of Kim Ji Won. It is her first time to be the lead of a k-drama and it is interesting to watch how she improved as an actress after Descendants of the Sun. It turned out she really grew a lot as an actress after DOTS especially in her confidence to deliver a role in this k-drama. I just wish she chose something more interesting k-drama in terms of story line.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) I like Kim Ji Won in the Descendants of the Sun. Her character there has spunk and balls and on this k-drama, it is also similar to the character of Choi Ae Ra. Kim Ji Won provide the entertainment of making me not get bored with this k-drama and has done a great job portraying her role.
(2) The story runs on ordinary and regular people who encounter relatable challenges, difficulties and triumphs in life.
(3) The development of the characters are well done and the actors really delivered it well.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
This k-drama has been successful in ratings especially since it is not the typical chaebol and lady in distress kind of romcom. It deals about common and usual things in life that happens to regular people. However, I must be honest that I prefer to watch k-dramas that are not regular, typical and very realistic stories. It sort of kinda bores me because that’s what I am escaping from in the first place when I watch and waste hours of my life. I get entertained when there are elements in the story that makes me wish, hope and escape from the humdrum of life. Although, I don’t like k-dramas too unrealistic to the point of being illogical either. It has to be a balance one for me. So, I didn’t enjoy this one much unlike the popular consensus. I watched only the first 5 episodes and the last. And, honestly, I got the entire story even without watching in between.
Would I recommend this K-Drama? It is okay but not my cup of tea.
