My Review:
I’ve seen this K-Drama a long time ago, at the time when the audience will just gladly enjoy something funny even if there’s no deeper substance to the K-Drama. In fact, it won a lot of awards at that time. I guess, like every one else, I was also like that during those times. Just wanting to escape and willing to just watch something light and funny. This is that kind of romcom. One should watch this K-Drama just for the fun of it and not take anything too seriously and expect much of the story. I re-watched it because I can’t hardly remember the story except that I know it made me laugh that’s why I kept the DVD I bought almost more than 9 years ago. Anyway, in general it is funny and something to watch and enjoy just for the pleasure of it. Don’t look too hard though because it is not a perfect K-Drama that you’ll get addicted and will never forget but it will do if you have 1 or 2 free days of lazy afternoon and just want to have more than a laugh or two.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) I like the comedic acting of Han Ye-Seul. She made me laugh especially when her character, Anna Jo, is trying to process and believe that she lives the way Jang Cheol-Su’s family lives.
(2) I like the lightness of the theme of the story. Nothing heavy but just pure amusement of what’s going on
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
Well, its flaws didn’t make a lot of impression to me to tick me off to the point I will feel the need to press the fast forward button of my player while watching this K-Drama. I guess, when you watch K-Dramas, sometimes it all depends on the person’s mood who’s watching it. I find myself thinking that way because if my mood is great and I watch a flawed K-Drama, I don’t get bothered too much especially if it makes me laugh more often than not. This may not be perfectly done but its flaws will not irritate you and you won’t definitely get bored out of your skull watching it.
Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
