My Review:
As I have watched Season 1 and it has an open-ending, when Season 2 came out, how can I possibly not watch the rest of the story? It is after all, the first political k-drama that I indeed enjoy watching.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) It is nice that Season 2 was immediately produced after Season 1 because in the realm of k-dramas which is unlike US TV series, it doesn’t automatically follow that a TV series that has an open ending will immediately have its next season, or have a definite schedule for it or if it will have the same characters or actors portraying them or even it will be produce. Thus, having its Season 2 immediately after Season 1 has ended was something I appreciated.
(2) Lee Jung Jae as Jang Tae Joon and Shin Min Ah as Kang Sun Young as always delivered stellar performances and made the k-drama interesting to watch even if it’s about politics.
(3) Even if the leads were great, what brings the house down for me in Season 2 is the character of Song Hee Sup portrayed by Kim Gab Soo. He was great in Season 1 and even better in Season 2.
(4) The casts did deliver good performances that enhances an otherwise difficult genre for a drama to enjoy.
(5) It was written really well and directed in a such a manner that’s not a snooze fest for political drama.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
It is not as exciting as Season 1 but it has been able to retain its essence why I liked Season 1. It wasn’t perfect but good enough to watch and settled the ending of certain characters.
Would I recommend this K-Drama? Yes
