My Review:

I watched this Kdrama because of Ji Chang-Wook and Kim Ji-Won. And, although, some may probably be able to fully like it, I, on the other hand, just find it passable. In the end, I was able to enjoy it purely because of the 2 actors otherwise this is completely forgettable for me.

So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?

(1) Ji Chang-Wook has been one of my favorite Korean actors for a long time. He is not only super good looking but truly a talented one. Since he came back from his military service, he has done a few kdramas, and, this Kdrama was much better than the past 2, “Melting Me Softly” and “Backstreet Rookie”, he did since his return. At least on this Kdrama, there are parts you get to really enjoy his yumminess especially during his time in the island with the character Yoon Sun Ah.

(2) I like Kim Ji-Won when I first saw her in Descendants of the Sun. She really made her presence felt on that kdrama. However, on this kdrama, though, she did well her role especially as Yoon Sun Ah and has chemistry with Ji Chang-Wook on the screen, I still prefer her on DOTS. Suffice it to say, I still like her as an actress and was able to tolerate this Kdrama because of her and Ji Chang-Wook.

(3) I like the difference of each love stories of the characters. It was well defined and provided nuggets of lessons of how relationship can work and the reasons it can fail.

(4) I enjoyed the scenes of Ji Chang-Wook and Kim Ji-Won in the island.

What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?

This Kdrama has great cinematography and has a westernized feel in the delivery of the story. However, I still prefer the Korean style of film making approach rather than the westernized modern style. The reason being is that the Korean style is more digging into the emotions of the viewers rather the visuals when they manifest the story of their dramas and films. Thus, the latter incorporation of the style on this Kdrama somehow diminished my pleasure as it removed on certain parts why I love watching Kdramas instead of western ones in the first place.

Would I recommend this K-Drama? It’s Okay.
