Synopsis:
Cha Jin Wook is a handsome and spoiled chaebol. He is the son of the owner of Daebok Industries. He always gets his way until his father forces him to work as a bellboy to one of their resorts outside Seoul to teach him a lesson for another scandal he created. While Lee Yoo Mi is a struggling nutritionist and a daughter of a very flamboyant mother who has a penchant of often getting married. She went to attend her mother’s wedding for the 3rd time and got so upset. She accidentally met Cha Jin Wook who is at that time working as a bellboy. Their path crossed that they ended up having a one night stand. After 3 years as fate have it, they met again and she ends up waiting for him as a nutritionist and he made her life difficult as it seems he had some resentment on how their one night stand ended.

My Review:
I don’t know the lead actors but the premise is interesting for a romcom even if a lot of movies and films have already tackled the one night stand issue. I checked it out because I would like to see how this k-drama will handle the story. I guess I was expecting too much because this k-drama handled it in the most formulaic way and every typical scenario in romcom situation you can think of were adapted here which is truly disappointing. Thank goodness it’s only 13 episodes and even with 13, I simply can’t finish it. All that comes into my mind while watching it is the similarity in looks of Sung Hoon with Lee Byung‑Hun.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) The only thing I probably like is something that my imagination conjured up of what it could have been.
(2) It wasn’t totally bad but I was just bored because it was like all the possible hallmark greetings placed in one card to make it passable. Having said that, it was blended together enough that it wasn’t that yacky.
(3) At least there’s no shortage of lip locking and the kiss is just not a kiss.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
(1) The way in which they executed how the one night stand came about was very shallow in order to make a basis as to which Cha Jin Wook will have a lasting impression of Lee Yoo Mi enough for a playboy like him to still remember her after 3 years let alone fall in love. And, the humiliation he went through didn’t even weigh too much for him to want to get back at her. I looks petty and done so that there’s a story to be told.
(2) The k-drama could have explored better the premise it represents. There are so many possibilities they could have done so that even if the audience have been there and done that in watching this kind of theme, the writer and the production could have achieved something great.
(3) I really tried getting into the mood of romance with this k-drama but something is lacking that I can’t really put my finger on. I’m simply disconnected from being entertained by it. It was full of cliches where like certain things when not much flavours are even added, it becomes passé.
(4) The supporting characters and their stories are also bland.
Would I recommend this K-Drama? No.
