My Review:
I have no expectations when I watched this K-Drama. In fact, I don’t even know the leading actors. I was just curious of how they remade the 1% of Anything in 2003. At the end of the 16 episodes I was glad I watched it. It was totally light and entertaining. You can just breeze through it with a smile on your face even though the story is a typical plot in K-Dramas.
So, What do I Like About this K-Drama?
(1) I like their conversations and the flow of their relationship. Very natural and realistic even the development of their intimacy.
(2) Though the plot is not unique, it has brought a great entertainment to whomever will watch it. The typical parents against their child’s choice of partner was done in a bearable manner and not similar to those scenarios that one will wonder, is this for real? In fact, they did something different, a reversal of things. It shows not all people crave to have money and richness in their lives because it does bring complications with it especially on how we live our lives and the priorities we choose to do. However, for those who like deep and serious stories, this is not for you.
(3) I like the actors including the supporting ones. They all acted well and no one gets in your nerves for over acting. The concerns of the each characters are real and the message of the story is indeed what makes life worth living for.
(4) I like that all the characters are flawed especially the leading man. He is not the typical chaebol in most K-Dramas that are “knight and shining armour” in personality. He’s a chauvinist and selfish most of the time and he is consistent with who he is yet he learned to adjust and be better for he learned how to love a woman.
(5) I like the OST.
What I do Not Like About this K-Drama?
This is not for those who prefer depth in a story but for those who just wants to be smartly entertained. Meaning it doesn’t make you feel stupid while being entertained, so, for entertainment value as a whole, it doesn’t have much flaws.
Would I recommend this K-Drama?Yes
